Biashara Women is a curated community of African diaspora women — in enterprise, trade, professional leadership, and the businesses that hold communities together.

Biashara — Swahili for business, trade, enterprise — is our business. The community spans women in fashion and finance, childcare and consulting, hospitality and health, technology and trade. If you are building something, you belong here.
She does not need a program. She needs a table worth sitting at — and peers who understand the particular ambition of building across cultures and corridors.
Join Our Next Gathering
She moves between markets — education, migration, trade. She builds bridges between Australia and Africa that hold real weight.

Fashion, food, technology, consulting — she is building a business with ambitions that stretch well beyond any single city.

She holds senior roles in corporate, government, or consulting. Her Africa lens is an asset. Here, it is currency.
Corporate · Advisory · Policy
She convenes, connects, and creates conditions for others to thrive. Across industries and borders, she is the infrastructure her community relies on.
Convening · Networks · CareFrom flagship expos to intimate experiences, our initiatives create conditions for real relationships, real deals, and real impact across the AU · US · UK · AF corridor.

Our annual showcase connecting African diaspora entrepreneurs with buyers, investors, and institutional partners — run alongside the Australia Africa Dialogue to unite enterprise with policy. Hosted at Melbourne Business School and the Melbourne Convention Centre.
Annual · Melbourne
Curated, intimate gatherings where women in enterprise meet, exchange ideas, and open doors for each other. Small by design. High trust by intention. Ticketed to honour the value. Every BX is a different format — the common thread is the quality of the room.
Ongoing · Curated
A self-serve tool helping African women-led businesses package and position their products for AU, US, and UK markets. Built for the woman who knows her product is world-class but has not yet found the right words or frame. Prototype launching at our April gathering.
Launching 2026An intimate evening marking the official launch — bringing together diaspora women in enterprise, trade, and leadership for conversation, connection, and a first look at Brand in a Box.

Biashara is a Swahili word for trade, business, enterprise. It is also the word for the life women build when they decide their ideas are worth backing.
I founded Biashara Women after years of hosting forums at Melbourne Business School, the Convention Centre, and policy tables across Australia and Africa — and watching remarkable women show up, contribute, and leave without a home to return to. That ends here. This community is for women who are already in motion, and deserve peers who match their ambition.
