Community

She is building
something real

Biashara — Swahili for business, trade, enterprise — is our business. The community spans women in fashion and finance, childcare and consulting, hospitality and health, technology and trade. If you are building something, you belong here.

She does not need a program. She needs a table worth sitting at — and peers who understand the particular ambition of building across cultures and corridors.

From the Convener
Biashara is a Swahili word for trade, business, enterprise. It is also the word for the life women build when they decide their ideas are worth backing.

I founded Biashara Women after years of hosting forums at Melbourne Business School, the Convention Centre, and policy tables across Australia and Africa — and watching remarkable women show up, contribute, and leave without a home to return to. That ends here. This community is for women who are already in motion, and deserve peers who match their ambition.
